The I AM within you, which means Being, Life, Awareness, Self Originating Spirit, etc.. is God, or the Life Principle. I AM is the true Christmas tree, and all gifts are on the Christmas tree, for God is both the giver and the gift. If you work for someone and he pays you, he is liquidating an obligation; but I AM is a gift to you. No work or sacrifice is needed.
Peace is now. The God of peace is within you and you can claim it. Love is now. Open your mind and heart to the influx of Divine love now, for God is the Eternal Now! Power is now, poise is now and joy is now. The Healing Presence is within you, and you can claim that the Infinite Healing Presence is flowing through you now, this very minute. The answer to your problem, whatever it is, is within you now, for Infinite Intelligence knows all things.
. . Before they call, I will answer. God is timeless, spaceless and ageless. Take your good now. You might as well claim all your good now as to do so a hundred years from now. Why wait?

It is said, “You believe in God. Believe also in Me, for I AM He”. Have the faith of God. “He made Himself one with God and found it not robbery to do the works of God”. Go you and do likewise. Yes, begin to believe your awareness, your consciousness of being to be God. Claim for yourself all the attributes that you have heretofore given an external God and you will begin to express these claims. “For I AM not a God afar off”. I AM nearer than your hands and feet . . nearer than your very breathing. I AM your awareness of being. I AM That in which all that I shall ever be aware of being shall begin and end. “For before the world was, I AM; and when the world shall cease to be, I AM”; “before Abraham, was I AM”. This I AM is your awareness.
“God is in his heaven . . all is well with the world.” “The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand” “The Kingdom of Heaven is within you.” Only believe, and all things are yours. “Now is the accepted time” . . right now, while you are reading this. Right now while I AM writing “is the accepted time” to bring about realization, to live it, to sing it, to go about our Father’s business, using his inexhaustible supply. Absence of God in our thoughts is the only thing that can keep away demonstration. Where God is, there is an abundance of all things he feeds us on his ideas.
Reject the evidence of your senses which mock your assumption, and you take the father and mother of the child into your mind, which means your I AMness. This is the Father and Mother of all creation, your Awareness, or Consciousness. As you claim and feel you now are what you long to be, the condition which you desired and assumed to be true becomes objectified in your world and bears witness to your inner conviction.
But knowing this law by which a man transforms himself, I assume that I AM what I want to be and walk in the assumption that it is done. In becoming it, the old man dies and all that was related to that former concept of self dies with it. You cannot take any part of the old man into the new man. You cannot put new wine in old bottles or new patches on old garments. You must be a new being completely. As you assume that you are what you want to be, you do not need the assistance of another to make it so. Neither do you need the assistance of anyone to bury the old man for you. Let the dead bury the dead. Do not even look back, for no man having put his hand to the plow and then looking back is fit for the kingdom of heaven. Do not ask yourself how this thing is going to be. It does not matter if your reason denies it. It does not matter if all the world round about you denies it. You do not have to bury the old. “Let the dead bury the dead.” You will so bury the past by remaining faithful to your new concept of Self that you will defy the whole vast future to find where you buried it. To this day no man in all of Israel has discovered the sepulchre of Moses.
If one says to himself, “I AM filled with life, health, strength and vigor,” and then goes down the street saying, “I see a poor blind beggar, a criminal and a sick person,” he is still treating himself just as much as when he affirmed that he was perfect. We are only as perfect as we perceive others to be. This does not mean that we shut our eyes to those who are in trouble; for we may have sympathy with the one having trouble without having sympathy with his trouble.
Under my direction, he reversed this image and practiced the mirror treatment every morning for about five or ten minutes. He looked in the mirror and affirmed out loud: “I AM all health. God is my health.” Gradually, the idea of wholeness entered into his subconscious mind, and he is now free from a false belief. He practiced the technique I gave him diligently and faithfully until it manifested in his life.
“I AM the Lord, and there is no God beside Me” declares my consciousness to be the one and only Lord and beside my consciousness there is no God. When we learn that “I AM the door,” and seek this door in the spiritual life within us, we shall find it; and as we pass through this door we enter the other side of life, the divine side, the eternal side. There we find the kingdom of God that is within us, and beyond is the shining shore. But we are not required to leave the personal form and the physical life in order to live on the other side of life. True being is to live on the spiritual side of life and to manifest the perfection of spiritual being in the personal side of life. Thus the Word becomes flesh and the glory of God is made visible in man.
Man’s thoughts constitute a veritable universe. A man and a woman in love with each other will grow into a single harmony; . . if we love God by tuning in and claiming his attributes, we will grow into His likeness and then will not feel it robbery to do the works of God. Man is God walking the earth, but man has forgotten it. We really tune in with our Higher Self when we tune in with God. The man who sings the Song of the Lamb (I AM Christ) is the man of tomorrow.
