It is recorded that He gave His life that you might live, “I AM come that you might have life and that you might have it more abundantly”. Consciousness slays itself by detaching itself from that which it is conscious of being so that it may live to that which it desires to be.
Spiritual Marriage . . Spiritually, marriage represents the union of two dominant states of consciousness. When we open the door of the mind by consciously affirming the presence and power of the divine I AM in our midst, there is a marriage or union of the higher forces in being with the lower and we find that we are quickened in every part; the life of the I AM has been poured out for us.
Jesus saith unto him, I AM the way, and the truth, and the life; no one cometh unto the Father but by me. The great statements of Jesus Christ were never spoken from the personal, but always from the impersonal. No truth ever sprung from the personal mind because it is only the impersonal that can touch the universal, and it is only in the universal that absolute truth can be found. When the mind enters the impersonal state, consciousness comes in touch with the cosmic state of being, and in that state we realize the “I AM” of being. We discern what the “I AM” actually is, and we find that the consciousness of the “I AM is the open door to the limitless vastness of the spiritual universe. “I AM the door.” Enter through the door of “I AM” and we pass into that immense world that is found on the upper side, or the divine side of sublime existence.
One’s mental attitude, thoughts, and words are the creative or destructive influences in one’s world. Do not say: “I AM sick,” “I AM poor,” “I AM unhappy.” Say: “I AM well,” “I AM at peace,” “I AM wealthy.”
I AM and THAT . . consciousness and that which you are conscious of being . . have joined and are one; I AM now nailed or fixed in the belief that I AM this fusion. Jesus or I AM is nailed upon the cross of that. The nail that binds you upon the cross is the nail of feeling. The mystical union is now consummated and the result will be the birth of a child or the resurrection of a son bearing witness of his Father. Consciousness is united to that which it is conscious of being. The world of expression is the child confirming this union. The day you cease to be conscious of being that which you are now conscious of being, that day your child or expression shall die and return to the bosom of his father, the faceless, formless awareness.
When sickness appears in the body affirm, “I AM well,” and know that it is the truth, because you, the real you, the individuality, the real “I AM,” always is well. As you affirm this statement think of the absolute wholeness that permeates your being, and keep the mental eye single upon this absolutely perfect state. In this way perfect health becomes your ideal, and all your thinking will become healthful. Every thought you think will accordingly contain the power of health, and as your thought is so will also be the states and conditions of your personality. The statement, “I AM well,” however, should not simply be used when sickness appears in the body. It is a statement that every mind should think at all times, because it is the truth about the true being; and the person who always thinks the truth about the true being, will always be as well in body and mind as he is in the perfections of his true being. Live and think constantly the statement, “I AM well” and you always will be well.
Be still outwardly, and shout for joy within until it has shattered the walls of your prison. Do you see? If you once glimpse the All Presence in the All Now you will begin to see that I AM not only here and there and everywhere, but I AM everything and partake of the nature of everything through this great Oneness. I AM everything and everybody; I AM ALL.
The numberless unrealized hopes and ambitions of man are the seeds which are buried within the consciousness or virgin womb of man. There they remain like the seeds of earth, held in the frozen waste of winter, waiting for the sun to move northward or for man to return to the knowledge of who he is. In returning he moves northward through recognition of his true self by claiming “I AM the light of the world”. When man discovers his consciousness or I AM to be God, the savior of his world, he will be as the sun in its northern passage. All hidden urges and ambitions will then be warmed and stimulated into birth by this knowledge of his true self. He will claim that he is that which heretofore he hoped to be. Without the aid of any man, he will define himself as that which he desires to express. He will discover that his I AM is the virgin conceiving without the aid of man, that all conceptions of himself, when felt, and fixed in consciousness, will be embodied easily as living realities in his world.
“I AM the Son of the Living God.” Do you believe this? If so, you are at this instant facing radical change in the outward expression which will be so far above the old concept that you will stand in amazement at the glory of it all.
Jehovah . . The I AM, the spiritual man, the image and likeness of Elohim God. In the King James Version of the Bible the Hebrew “Jehovah” has been translated “Lord.” Lord means an external ruler. Bible students say that Jehovah means the self existent One, the I AM. Then instead of reading “Lord” we should read I AM. It makes a great difference whether we think of I AM, self existence within, or “Lord,” master without. All Scripture shows that Jehovah means just what God told Moses it meant: I AM. “This is my name forever, and this is my memorial unto all generations”.
