Law of Attraction Meditations For December

DECEMBER 1

I look through existing conditions to the ideal.

“The outside is always like the inside.” Everything in creation is a reflection of consciousness. Subjective Mind is the mirror which reflects back to us in form whatever we hold up to it in thought. Therefore to permit ourselves to mull over the unhappiness of the past or present, or the fear for the future is equivalent to asking Subjective Mind to create a condition which exactly corresponds. The way to escape from unpleasant conditions is to hold in consciousness the ideal condition as though it were already existent. To the extent that we do this it will be reflected back to us in form.

DECEMBER 2

Only that which becomes subjective becomes manifest.

Kant says, “Our forms of intuition are subjective.” That is the reason we are invariably right when we follow our intuitions. What we call our intuitions are communications to our subjective minds from the Grand Central Subjective Mind — for the time being the conscious mind is standing to one side, it sees the message as it flashes by and rejoices like an eavesdropper that it has some inside information. We can develop intuition if we will “get out of the way of the divine circuit” and permit the fundamental nature of the universe to strike fire within us.

DECEMBER 3

All of God’s activities are creative. That is the reason every thought of Man’s starts a creative process. The more deeply we feel the truth of what we think the sooner it becomes manifest. For God to think is for the thing to be — therefore, for Man to think is for the thing to be if he doesn’t countermand the order with a contrary thought. Man’s thought is creative because Man is God individualized. “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,” and The Universal Spirit of Life became Man.

DECEMBER 4

The Kingdom of God is hidden in the heart of Man.

“Neither shall they say, ‘Lo here! or lo there!’ for behold, the Kingdom of God is within you.” The reason Man has not found God is because he has not looked in his own heart. The reason Man has not found Happiness and all that he calls Good is because it has not occurred to him that he is the thing he is looking for. This endless striving and this tightened grip — it all availeth naught; thine eyes are holden that ye do not see ye are that thing ye sought.

DECEMBER 5

Limitation is in belief and not in principle.

There is all that there is of Life, Joy and Substance right where I am, but I must open my spiritual eyes and behold it. The civil law requires that a man look, but not that he see. The Spiritual law is different — it requires that we see, and rewards us only in proportion to our beholding.

DECEMBER 6

The Here and the There are one when linked on the same vibration.

To a man traveling over rough ground, two places a mile apart are two separated places, but a man in an airplane could take them both in at a glance, and the higher he went the more the two places would appear to merge together. If we view things only from the material point of view, there may appear to be little connection between them, but the more we realize that all materiality is the manifestation of spirit, the more all material things will become one. The radio has done much to annihilate space. When we hear a program that is being produced thousands of miles away we begin to gain some idea of the unity of all life—and no doubt all things in the universe tune in to a given vibration although our ears cannot detect it. “I AM Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.” All things are in the consciousness of Man—but until he awakens to that truth he may travel over much rough ground.

DECEMBER 7

Thy will be done.

We used to feel like martyrs when we said, “Thy will be done.” There was a firm conviction that God’s will was diametrically opposed to Man’s will. But now we know that Man is individualized God, and that Man’s desires are born of his God-nature. The more we sense our unity with our Cause the more Good will be expressed in our experiences. The will (nature) of the Universal Spirit when expressed, uninhibited by our negative thought, always results in a perfect state.

DECEMBER 8

Within me is the fountain of Truth.

To know a thing we must become one with it — there must be something in us that exactly corresponds. “Ye shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall make you free.” When you know the Truth you are no longer holding its opposite in consciousness. “The aim of education should be to convert the mind into a living fountain, and not a reservoir. That which is filled by merely pumping will be emptied by pumping out.”

DECEMBER 9

Spirit can dissolve a false growth.

Even as the sun melts the ice, the light of the spirit can dissolve a false growth. We can trace a relationship between ice and the sun — the melting ice becomes, under the influence of the sun, vapor which falls as rain and furnishes the “raw material” for ice. One of the earliest philosophic thoughts was that the sun must be made of water because the sun draws water. All substance is spirit at a different rate of vibration, even as ice is water at a different temperature. When we turn the light of this knowledge upon any false growth we shall behold it as materialized-spirit held in an undesired combination — and the focalized ray of this thought-sun will cause a dissolution process to take place.

DECEMBER 10

God cannot make anything unlike himself.

All that any man does expresses him, whether it be the building of a house, the making of a garden, or the writing of a book. All things in creation are combinations of Spirit, Mind and Matter, “and these three are One.” An ancient philosopher observed, “God does what he makes man do.” When we get far enough into the spirit of anything we find that we have been conducted to the Heart of Unity.

DECEMBER 11

My thought is the starting point of a creating process.

We can “stand porter at the door of thought” but the moment a thought has passed the threshold into subjectivity the process of growth into a thing becomes automatic. We can decide what seeds we will plant in our garden, but once the planting has been done the growth into a plant is beyond our control. That which is involved (planted) must be evolved (unfolded), unless it is supplanted by a contrary idea-seed.

DECEMBER 12

I AM learning how to live better.

Living better is not merely a matter of ethics — it is the result of a greater perception of the Unity of all Life. Even as the blossom on the end of a stem is a manifestation of the life of the root, so the consciousness of Man is a manifestation of the Life of God. And the more man enjoys life the more truly God’s nature is being expressed through him.

DECEMBER 13

The substance of my body and the substance of my food is one substance.

Scientists tell us that minerals, vegetables and animals are all made of one substance in different combinations. This means that the food we take into our bodies is one in substance with the substance of our bodies. The food and the stomach are not strangers — they have met before, a meeting of old friends, as it were. To be thus on terms of understanding will go far toward the producing of good digestion.

DECEMBER 14

I am not coerced by objective facts.

To be coerced by objective facts is to be hypnotized. It is permitting something other than our own reason to have control over us. Various grades of consciousness in the Universal Mind are expressed in different ways. Substance corresponds to and is the result of the Universal Consciousness of Existence. The self-consciousness of Man corresponds to and is the result of a higher state of Universal Consciousness. “In my Father’s house are many mansions,” — many grades of consciousness. To be coerced by “things” would be like permitting a foolish child to dictate to a sage — “thus they bound the good man of the house.”

DECEMBER 15

I heal myself of a negative belief about my patient.

Whether the patient be yourself or someone else you are trying to help, negative thought in the mind of the practitioner must be supplanted by concepts of Truth. Too often we hear it said, “I did good mental work but the patient wasn’t receptive.” What proof have we that we did good work if there was no healing? “Adam, where art thou?” Man, where is thy mental abiding place — in negation or in Truth?

DECEMBER 16

Healing is the result of the re-education of Subjective Mind.

Both health and sickness are results and not entities. Sickness is the result of impressing Subjective Mind with a negative or erroneous conclusion. The impregnation of this creative element with the truth of our Being will result in the condition we call Good Health.

DECEMBER 17

My use of Subjective Mind is my measuring of it.

The meaning of the word “Man” is “a dispenser or measurer.” We do not create, we simply measure off that which is already created. “All that the Father hath is ours,” but we use only as much as we are conscious of possessing. We may have a powerful engine in our automobile, but by the use of the throttle we measure our use of it. Our belief in abundance or lack is the measure we hold out for Subjective Mind to fill.

DECEMBER 18

Power without understanding is a destructive force.

Whether a force is destructive or constructive depends upon the way it is used. The Biblical story of the Flood is symbolic of Power divorced from Understanding. The more completely we realize the Unity of Life the more we shall sense our at-one-ment with Universal Power, and the greater understanding we shall have of the wise use to make of it.

DECEMBER 19

I appreciate the value of repeated meditation.

We sometimes have to look at a thing for some time before our eyes are so focused as to enable us to behold it. Some inner sense is convinced of the truth stated in a meditation, therefore we repeat the meditation twice, thrice, a dozen or more times. In tunneling through a mountain they chisel, and blast, and dig away until one day they break through. Such is the value of repeated meditation — it enables us to “break through” — thus do we become consciously one with the truth stated.

DECEMBER 20

I am born of the Spirit.

I am born of the Spirit and the children of the Spirit are perfect. “Be ye also perfect even as your Father in Heaven is perfect.” “Let that same mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.” It is because perfection is the source of our being that we strive for manifestations of perfection. Not by striving but by a mental acceptance shall we arrive.

DECEMBER 21

I image my heart’s desire.

Will is not creative, it is directive. “Let us create man in our image and likeness.” What ease of accomplishment is here expressed! Man’s mistaken concept that creation could be attained only through will-power condemned him to “work by the sweat of his brow.” In these latter days “concentration” has been overworked, until the word itself has taken on the vibration of effort. Concentration must yield to Expansion — even as the life-germ, concentrated in a seed, must be permitted to expand before a plant can result. A spot is of value only because of the good which can be derived from it. Concentration is of value only because of the greater horizon it affords. Each state of consciousness must be the gateway to a new Promised Land. Will is the rudder that steers our craft, and imagination the broad sail spread to the wind of Creative Thought — the port, our heart’s desire.

DECEMBER 22

I fasten my affection upon that Infinite Life which alone is able to bear it.

Too often we hear it said of a mother, “Her whole life was bound up in that child,” and of a man, “His business was his whole life.” We must no more lean upon people or things than we would think of leaning upon the flowers in our garden. Each disappointment tends to throw us back upon ourselves. It is there alone that we contact the center of the Infinite Life.

DECEMBER 23

I try the spirits whether they be of God.

It is often difficult to distinguish whether our act is the result of instinct or religious training. Much that passes for instinct is a subjective acceptance of a mistaken concept which tradition has passed on generation after generation without compelling it to give the password of Truth. We can only be assured that we are maintaining the integrity of our own thought as we develop the habit of weighing not only what we read and hear but that which has heretofore been accepted by us as the truth, “just because everyone has always thought so.”

DECEMBER 24

I AM receptive to the impartation of Truth.

Progress is the law of Life. Jesus said, “I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.” It is only as we become identified with the truth that has been presented to us that we shall be prepared to receive more — even as a child in school must finish the work of one grade before it is permitted to pass on to another. Let each day be for us the eve of the birth of a Truth-idea — a time of preparation, of receptivity, growth, deliverance and birth.

DECEMBER 25

The Christ-Idea is born anew within my heart today.

Today I rejoice anew that the life of God is the life of Man, and even as “the child Jesus grew and waxed strong in spirit,” so within me lies the possibility of unfoldment into greater understanding. The God-Love, Beauty and Peace that now rest in the swaddling clothes of my consciousness, “shall attain unto the full stature of a man.”

DECEMBER 26

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth Peace, Good will toward men.

“And lo, the Angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them. And the Angel said unto them, Fear not.” The Angel of God’s presence is now proclaiming within my heart “Fear not.” “And I heard a voice out of Heaven saying, Behold the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people.”

DECEMBER 27

He giveth us richly all things to enjoy.

All God-qualities are bound up in the nature of Man. For this reason Man loves Life, Wisdom, Power, Beauty, Substance and Freedom. I recognize the immanence of God — I worship the God-within-me. So shall the God-attributes inherent within me become objectified in all my affairs.

DECEMBER 28

The Lord is in His Holy Temple, let all the earth keep silence before Him.

“And I saw a new heaven, and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea (psychic confusion). And there came unto me one of the angels saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb’s wife. And he shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God. And I saw no temple therein, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.” Man has awakened to his at-one-ment with the Infinite Life, therefore physical substance obeys his word because it is below him in intelligence — the “earth has become his foot-stool,” the sacrificial lamb (Man’s mistaken idea of his own inferiority) has become “one with the Father,” and “the first heaven and the first earth (wrong beliefs with their resultant manifestations) are passed away.”

DECEMBER 29

I AM in my own place.

It is an Infinite One that is expressing Itself, therefore no two people are alike. Each is in just his right place, but by a greater consciousness of the ever-availability of Good, that “place” may become increasingly better. I bless the place where I now am — the atmosphere of blessing sheds a new light upon it and I see beauties never before discovered by me, even as common-place things take on a strange beauty in the glow of moonlight. I take the shoes from off my feet, for the place where I stand is Holy ground, (I remove from my consciousness anything that intervenes between me and my Good).

DECEMBER 30

The thought of competition finds no abiding place in my mind.

The thought of competition is born of the belief in duality, “And its father is a liar.” Unity is at the base of all manifestation. Each may draw directly from the Source of Supplies all that he needs of Life, Love or Substance. By looking too much at our neighbor we develop the idea of competition. By beholding the One, we awaken to the Truth of Abundance.

DECEMBER 31

My troubles die with the old year.

I enumerate my troubles one by one and bid them goodbye forever. I turn my back upon the night of despair and face with smiling face and welcoming arms the dawn of a brighter, better consciousness. With a thankful heart I shall rest in my awakened perception of At-One-ment, “until the day breaks and the shadows flee away.”
